Short description: Viļāni Old-Believers Prayer House. The architect P.Pavlovs built Old-Believers Prayer House in 1930s. The congregation was established very recently. Nevertheless the 14 meters high tower was constructed in 2004. The Prayer House is a very simple building but one will be pleased to see the magnificent icons. The Prayer House has been renovated completely.

Short description: Viļāni monastery of St. Albert. Following the invitation of Michael Riks in 1753, Bernardin monks arrived in Viļāni. They served to the congregation, managed congregation school. In the library of the monastery there were 463 books of spiritual content in Latin, Polish and Latvian languages. When czar of Russia issued an order about the closure of all monasteries in 1832, Bernardians were banished from Viļāni. The archbishop of Mogiļeva took a possession of congregation’s properties, and priests of a diocese were serving to the congregation.

Short description: St. Miķelis the Archangel Roman Catholic Church of Viļāni. In 1753, Baron Miķelis Riks started to build the present ensemble of Viļāni stone church and monastery. In the very beginning, there were 9 altars. It was one of the most beautiful and luxurious churches in Latgale.
